As per a 2019 World Bank report, West Africa loses more than $3.8 billion and 13,000 lives annually to coastal degradation. We need to begin to discuss collaborative approaches to tackle this problem. We are rallying stakeholders across Ghana, Togo, Benin, Senegal, Nigeria and Mauritania to come together and take collaborative action! sensitization programs, tree planting and sanitation exercises across all six countries from April 22 – 23, 2024, an international conference in Dakar Senegal April 24 – 25, 2026 and a Global Press Conference on April 26, 2024.     13,000 lives lost to floods, air and water pollution across West Africa’s coastal areas is huge. Not to talk of the economic damages. Great initiative!
