The low income food security pilot project to Ilaje Bariga Lagos reached an important milestone on Saturday February 24, 2024 as participants unanimously elected one of their members Mr. Lucky Agbaka as their Coordinator. The role is important because one of the key ideas from get go was for cohorts to be agile and self-sustaining.

As the pilot project gains momentum, we expect that cohorts will “self-organize”, reaching out and teaching others what they have learnt and practiced; effectively setting up and empowering new groups.

Equally, participants were excited to share garri, the first food item delivered to them at 28% discount. Watch the video below:
